7 Adding Nameservers to domain manager - link my domain and web host

If you were following along with me. Doing everything as I was, then here is where you are at. You have bought your hosting from Bluehost . And you also have a domain on NameCheap.

And most importantly, the domain you want to use, is the one you have bought on Namecheap. This is the domain where you will install WordPress .

It is the domain where you will have your video blog.

The video above will show you how to add your Bluehost NameServers to your Namecheap domain. It is the Nameservers that point your domain to your Hosting account.

This process is not only specific to Bluehost and Namecheap. You can do the same thing for any Web Host and any Domain Registrar. The companies you are using shouldn’t matter. The internet works the same way for all Hosting and Domain companies. And it works the same way for all websites.

In this video you will see how to get your Nameservers. Then you will log into your Namecheap account . Go into the domains section. And then add your Nameservers for the domain your want to use.

Once you are done adding your Nameservers, adding the domain to your Bluehost account will be a very simple task. And this is the subject of the next video. Remember that, all domain registrars have a domain Management area. Then there is a section for the domain details / domain records.

Find this section on your webhost. This where you will add the two Nameservers you will get from  Bluehost. The Nameservers are sent to you as soon as you create a new account.

It is also important to know which package you have purchased from bluehost Some packages only allow you to have one Website. Therefore know the package you sign up for. Read all the details about it.

In the next post you will assign your domain to Bluehost. In readiness for installing WordPress .
