Premium Domain Meaning
What are premium domain names?
A premium domain is a valuable domain that has been pre-registered but is still available for purchase to any interested party. In this definition of a premium domain, the term ‘valuable’ is only true if the domain matches a business’ existing brand and meets certain features (listed below).
Features of Premium Domains
- Needs to be short and concise.
- Are usually easy to remember.
- The name must be using common and easily recognizable gTLD (Generic Top Level Domains) such as .com, .net , .org .
- It must be brand-able and relevant to the entity or individual who intends to purchase it.
- It should be sold through a reputable domain seller.
Where do I buy a Premium Domain?
If you need to upgrade to a better name for your online presence, a high quality domain is the way to go. Sometimes you’ll be extremely lucky and you’ll find the perfect domain for your business.
However you’ll normally find that high value domains have already been registered. In this case you should do a Domain name search on Buydomain.com.
If the domain is listed there, then you can simply purchase it. If it’s not listed, then you can contact them to help you acquire it.
There are also premium names on Godaddy.
Are all premium domains expensive?
Most premium domain names will cost more than other domains. The price of the domain will depend on how valuable it is. A name that is shorter, easier to remember and regularly searched on Google will surely be pricier.
This depends on the domain. Some are expensive. Some will be modest and others will be surprisingly cheap . They are rarely cheap.
