This short video shows how to edit your Profile information for your WordPress website. The video shows where you can edit your WordPress bio information, WordPress Password, email, Social media links and other information. The video focuses on the WordPress Administrator profile page. The process is entirely the same for all other WordPress user levels with access to the Admin Dashboard.

 

This video will enable you to :

 

  1. Edit your Personal Options such as :

 

  • Changing Admin Color Scheme
  • Hide or show the Admin Toolbar
  • Proofreading Settings

 

  1. Change Name settings such as:

 

  • Change/ Add First Name and Last Name
  • Change Your WordPress Nickname
  • Choose How your Name displays publicly on posts and other post types you make

 

  1. Add and Change Admin Contact Info

 

  • Change Email Address
  • Add your Website Link
  • Add Google+ , Twitter and Facebook links

 

  1. Add more information about yourself such as:

 

  • Edit Bio info which will show up on your public profile page / or below posts under author information
  • Set your new WordPress Password

 

  1. WordPress SEO settings for Search Engines

 

  • Author Title (Keep it below the Google threshold of 70 words)
  • Author’s Meta Description (Keep it below the Google Threshold of approx. 155)

 

All of the above WordPress Profile settings can be changed on the profile page. It is important to change how your name appears on the public end for posts and pages.
